Fred fed Ted bread, and Ted fed Fred bread

Tongue twisters are always funny. It makes ur tongue go mad b4 u complete the phrase. It is definitely tough to articulate it clearly. In fact, it is designed to be difficult. I came across a tt which seems like it is the toughest one in english to be repeated continuosly.
"The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick."
A longer tt
"Mr. See owned a saw.
And Mr. Soar owned a seesaw.
Now See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw
Before Soar saw See,
Which made Soar sore.
Had Soar seen See's saw
Before See sawed Soar's seesaw,
See's saw would not have sawed
Soar's seesaw.
So See's saw sawed Soar's seesaw.
But it was sad to see Soar so sore
Just because See's saw sawed
Soar's seesaw!"

This reminds me of my childhood days where twas fun pulling others legs tongues :P

How to sweat the small stuff @work

In today's world, the workplace is more like an emotional roller coaster. When people feel overwhelmed, they lose confidence and become irritable. So how to manage those annoying situations at work and cope up with the excessive stress @work? The all time wonderful solution is to cool yourself with punch dialogs whenever stress interferes your ability to work. Lets see how vadivelu dialogs can help you when u are at crisis :)

When your team mate is trying to explain some hi-fi techie stuff to u which u don't understand even one bit -jus murmer "sabaaaaa... ipovae kannah kattudhey"

In a team meeting, when no one gives a damn to ur ideas - point your fingers to urself and say "indha avamaanam unaku thevaya?". Then shut up and sit quietly :)

When you need to confront a colleague who tries to help you but puts u into trouble finally - just snub him by saying that "opening ellam naalah thaan irruku annna unkitta finishing seri illayae pa"

When your team members understand what you say at the first shot (very rare situations) - "ka gha gha po" (Karuthukalai miga kachidhamaga kavugireer pongal)

When your comments backfire and cause u a lot of trouble - "Vaazhkaina silla adigal vizha thaan seiyum"

When your boss, big boss, big big boss come all together for the meeting - "Vandhutaangayaa Vandhutaangayaa"

When your peer QA finds critical bugs - "Epadi thaan kandupidikaraingalo"

When you need to face your manager with replies regarding your unmet deadlines - be courageous and say "adhu pona maasam... naan sonnadhu indha maasam"

When your boss blasts you into pieces for hours and hours together - "vendaaam... vallikudhu... azhudhiduven!"

When you take up initiatives and someone warns u of how difficult it is - "Engalluku risk edukaradhu rusk saapadramaari"

When your colleagues question you about your way of coding - "This is drunken monkey style"

When your senior colleague scolds you for some blunder you commited - "attack pannita illa! poitae irru" and when he asks u the reason why u keep getting scoldings from everyone like this - "naangellam adi vaangaadha area vae kedayaaadhu. edho oru morai adichitu perusa peethara"

When you rival team member annoys you - "Kattadhuraiku kattam seri illa... enkooda vilaadradhey avan vellaiya pochu"

When you need to sing some non-regional songs in a team outing but u don't know even one - "sing in the rain... i m swing in the rain... i want more in the rain..."

When everything flops in your project - "Endha oru vishayathayum plan panni pannanum. Plan pannalana ipadi thaan nadakum"

When your junior is over brilliant than you and keeps asking you many questions while you talk - "Annan pechu ennikumae one-way thaan. Angae irundhu return pechu varakoodadhu"

When the figure/graph that you have been trying to correct from your team picks up for your colleague - "Vada poche"

When they take you for a team lunch after a release despite the fact that customers were not happy with the stuff that you gave - "indha ranagalathilayum oru killugillipu kekudhu unaku!"

Finally my favorite,

At the time of your ACR - "Maapu... vachitaanya aapu"

If vadivelu reads this, he would say :

aaiii... ena vechi comedy keemedy pannaliyae!!!

When you gamble with safety, you bet your life.

No one understands the importance of road sense and how to use that in making a good judgement to avoid trouble on the roads, for themselves as well as for others. This Saturday I was riding back home with my friend in my cute little Scooty Pep (Perky Pink :)). It was quiet a tough traffic and the pointers in all our speedometers were busy working between 40 and 60. Suddenly a bunch of people from no where jumped into the middle of the road, waving their hands and walking happily to cross the road. The guy behind the wheel in a Santro who was in front of me had no other option than applying the brakes. Same thing happened to all the vehicles on the front line. I was less than 5 feet behind him and imagine my position. That fraction of a second I was completely lost with no clue of what can be done. With a squealing noise I tried to stop my bike by braking and I halted. With tension mounting my temples, I turned around to check if my friend was alright and no one had hit us from behind, when I suddenly felt her hands embracing me and her words floating into my ears "mach are u alright? relax its okay...". Phewwwww.... The first time ever in all these 5 years of riding experience, I have felt panicky on roads!!!

These days pedestrians and cyclists have become increasingly problematic for riders and drivers. If they wave their hands, they expect us to come to a stop and let them way immediately. When the red signal for pedestrians is still glowing, they don't give a damn to that and just keep crossing the roads. And in case a biker hits them, then it is his fault and he is put inside the circle of blame. To top it all, these pedestrians fancy talking over the phone while crossing roads, thereby distracting themselves as well as others. When are we all gonna realize that unsafe acts will keep us in stitches!!!

The eternal bliss of life

The only best thing you can turn around to at any time of the day, no matter whether u are depressed or at joy is m~u~s~i~c. In fact, to many people in many cultures, music is an important part of their way of life. However music is not dat easy to understand. It is characterized by tempo, rhythm, pitch, harmony, etc,. A proper blend of these facets give us the best music of life :)

Each of us have our own choices of music. We listen to a relaxing track when we are alone, a livelier one when we are in social parties, with friends,... A few of us are even too particular about the genres. When it comes to music, I listen to that ones which is accompanied by words. I listen to more of softer music, songs that really try to mean something, which means there is an emphasis on the lyrics. Of course, a catchy tune and striking voice is equally important. I fancy the lyrics first and then the voice.

There are 2 particular songs which I have always been crazy about. The ones that take me to heaven when ever I listen to them. Hit the play icon and follow the words... u'll understand why :)

You tell me you're in love with me
Like you can't take your pretty eyes away from me
It's not that I don't want to stay
But every time you come too close I move away

I wanna believe in everything that you say
'Cause it sounds so good
But if you really want me, move slow
There's things about me you just have to know

Sometimes I run
Sometimes I hide
Sometimes I'm scared of you
But all I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right
Be with you day and night
Baby all I need is time

I don't wanna be so shy
Every time that I'm alone I wonder why
Hope that you will wait for me
You'll see that you're the only one for me

I wanna believe in everything that you say
'Cause it sounds so good
But if you really want me, move slow
There's things about me you just have to know

Sometimes I run
Sometimes I hide
Sometimes I'm scared of you
But all I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right
Be with you day and night
Baby all I need is time

Just hang around and you'll see
There's nowhere I'd rather be
If you love me, trust in me
The way that I trust in you

Sometimes I run
Sometimes I hide
Sometimes I'm scared of you
But all I really want is to hold you tight
Treat you right
Be with you day and night
Baby all I need is time

I have always loved you

Since the beginning of time
Since it started to rain
Since I heard you laugh
Since I felt your pain
I was too young, you were much younger
We were afraid of each other's hunger

I have always loved you
There's never been anyone else
Knew you before I knew myself
Oh my baby, I have always loved you

Since we kissed the first time
Since we slept on the beach
You were too close for comfort
You were too far out of reach
You walked away, I should have held you
Would you have stayed for me to tell you?

I have always loved you
There's never been anyone else
Knew you before I knew myself
Oh my baby, I have always loved you
Years go by in a matter of days
And though we go separate ways
I never stop dreaming of you
I have always loved you

When you call it makes me cry
We never made time for you and I
If I could live it all again
I'd never let it end, I'd still be with you
Oh God, I miss you

I have always loved you
There's never been anyone else
Knew you before I knew myself
Oh my baby, I have always loved you

Years go by in a matter of days
And though we go separate ways
I never stop dreaming of you
I have always loved you

Socializing on Social Sites :P

So what is this hype all about. The web says "Social networking is the grouping of individuals into specific groups, like small rural communities or a neighborhood subdivision, if you will." When it comes to online social networking, websites are commonly used and they are called Social Sites. Very common ones are Facebook, Orkut, and Twitter. These social sites not only help people to connect with old childhood friends but also pave way to create bonds with strangers on the other side of the world just because they share the same interests.

So how does one socialize through websites? Once a person creates an account with these social sites, they have a personal profile page. This is like an informal resume where they write about themselves, their hobbies, etc. and upload a picture as well. People across the world check out these profile pages and become friends. As simple as that!!!

What could possibly be the advantages of spending time in these social sites. The first thing that comes to my mind is 'staying in touch'. In an extremely busy millenium like the one in which we are dwelling, staying in touch has become a big time problem. Very easily we are carried away by work and we forget our friends and relatives. Through these social sites we are able to get in touch with those lost identities, share memories of togetherness and become a part of each others' lives once again. It is an easy tool to share ideas, and quickly get information about anything. Sheltered individuals may not understand how many different points of view that people have, and that it's possible for people to hold drastically different beliefs. Social networking helps you learn about diversity and get exposure to multiple points of view.

Everything has two sides and definitely this technology also has its downside. The disadvantageous aspects of social networking are Scams and Harassment. There is a potential for failure of security in both personal and business context. While many sites apply certain measures to keep any of these cases of harassment, cyber-stalking, online scams, and identity theft to an absolute minimum, you still may never know.

Social sites are increasingly prevelant and growing tools with both pros and cons. It depends upon the individual to be within limits and use it safely :)

Debut of my new blog line

I had always thought that the most important criterion to become a blogger is to have enough patience to express things.

Many a times I had wondered how a person takes time from his daily rountine and manages to grab fancy words and give some real meaning to his thoughts.
When I take a look at the blogs I question myself "From where do people
get all these ideas...?" and I am too embarrased to say "I don't know..."
I asked my friends. They did give me some answers but that was not convincing.

Then finally I decided... I am gonna explore it all by myself and understand what does it really take to become a blogger.

And here I am, the buggy blogger with my first buggy blog :)
